Occupational Vision Plan
The Occupational Vision Plan (OVP) is a province-wide network of approximately 340 Doctors of Optometry providing expert eye care and leading prescription safety eyewear to B.C. workplaces. In industries as diverse as forestry and technology, OVP offers comprehensive eye examinations, professional consultation and individually tailored programs to help employees work safely and effectively.
OVP is available in 80 communities and has benefited more than 300 companies over 25 years, providing professional assessments of employees’ vision, eye health and general health.
Only BCAO member Doctors of Optometry are able to participate in OVP. This program is an excellent way to build your practice and promote the value of eye health in the workplace.
OVP also supports the CNIB's Industrial Eye Safety Program. Available in B.C. and Alberta, the program is designed to educate workers about eye safety in the workplace and motivate them to follow safe work practices.
